The annual After School Dance Fund/Baila4Life Latin Dance Competition has been taking place at the Music Center at Strathmore since 2010, with the support of MCPS. It is the culmination of Montgomery County’s elite high school Latin dance program, which started back in 1999 at Seneca Valley High School. The main objective is to strengthen the social and emotional wellbeing of our students while promoting health, exercise, and cultural unity through Latin dance education. Students compete in the Duets/Partner and Group categories showcasing their choreographies in Chacha, Merengue, Bachata, Salsa, Jack and Jill, Parent/Student, and Best in Show.
