MCPS LATIN DANCE COMPETITION

Since 2010, the annual MCPS Latin Dance Competition held at the Music Center at Strathmore has enthralled the community. This captivating event has welcomed over 25 high schools from Montgomery County onto its grand stage, mesmerizing an audience of over 2000 enthusiastic members of the community. Beyond the joy of dance, this competition has become a transformative experience, molding students with discipline, cultural pride, and fostering healthy competition.

MONTHLY DANCE SOCIALS

Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Glen Echo Parks, we’ve had the opportunity to host monthly dance socials that embody the true essence of community and friendship among the participants from various high schools involved in our programs. Our dance socials serve as a platform where students can gather, connect, and celebrate their shared passion for dance. These lively events kick off with energizing group dance lessons, focusing on popular Latin styles like salsa, bachata, and merengue. Led by experienced instructors, these lessons provide an opportunity for dancers of all skill levels to learn and grow together in a supportive environment.

SENIORS SHOWCASE

The Seniors Showcase is an event that allows our talented seniors to showcase the incredible skills they have gathered throughout their journey with After School Dance Fund. They will have the unique opportunity to take center stage, both literally and figuratively, as they choreograph and perform their own dance routines.

All choreographies from our competition can be found
